 The Alfiero and Lucia Palestroni Birth Defects Center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is a division of St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. The Center provides consultation and treatment services for children with structural birth defects and complex medical conditions. We create a medical home for patients and their families by providing unified care from a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
The Center’s multidisciplinary team combines the expertise of subspecialists available at the St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center including Maternal-fetal Medicine, Genetics, Neonatalogy, Craniofacial, Cardiovascular Services, Orthopedics, Neurology, Feeding and Swallowing, Dental/Maxillofacial, Otolaryngology, Physical Medicine, Developmental, Pastoral Care, Nursing and Social Work.
Patients and families can expect that our team will provide individualized care, education, consultation, diagnosis and treatment that is consistent with their family’s needs. We strive to improve health outcomes and quality of life for patients and families.
